IDAHO FALLS CHUKARS VS OREM OWLZ

The Supreme Commander strolls to the
game through the streets of Idaho Falls, ID
The Idaho Falls Chukars hosted the Orem Owlz at Melaleuka Field tonight. It looked like it would be a good night for the local nine as they jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after two innings. But the Owlz stormed back and won the game 13-6. The Chukars' pitchers were hit hard and they didn't get much help from their fielders who committed five errors. The Owlz had some defensive struggles of their own, committing four errors, including three on one play that contributed greatly to the Chukars' early lead.

Melaleuca Field is a fine ballpark that opened in 2007. It's in a residential neighborhood, allowing many of the team's fans to walk to the games.  Some of the neighboring homes have views of the field from their windows and porches. There is a small parking lot in front of the stadium for those who don't live within walking distance and the team does not charge for parking. The team's employees were extremely friendly and helpful. I can't think of anything bad to say about the experience we had watching the Chukars play. It would have been nice if the Chukars had played better for their fans but other than the outcome, the evening at Melaleuca Field was nearly perfect.
