YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - DAY 2

Today we drove Yellowstone's "Grand Loop" which is a road that allows us tourists to pass by all the major attractions within the park. While on our loop tour we saw some elk, bears, bison, and a little fella I couldn't identify who popped up while we were photographing an elk. Perhaps he was a chipmunk. If you can tell from the photo, please let me know. We saw the Norris Geyser Basin, Lake Yellowstone, as well as several other lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and hot springs throughout the park

It's amazing how many idiots ignore the signs warning tourists not to get too close to the animals. The bears and bison in particular can kill a human with ease. We spotted a couple of bears but we couldn't stop to take pictures because they were too close. It didn't stop dozens of others from pulling over and getting out their cameras. The evening news reported that a hiker was killed by a grizzly bear while we were in the park today.

This is the last day of our visit to Yellowstone National Park. Tomorrow morning we hit the road for Ogden, Utah and our last stop on the Pioneer Baseball League tour.

Time for some breakfast

Yummy!

Hmmm...I hear something

What's all the fuss over here?

Can't I eat my breakfast in peace?

I neglected to note the name of the river that produces these falls

An elk was spotted on the hill above the road

It seems we've been spotted as well

Stupid people and their cameras. I'm outta here!
